ThrustWSH accelerates away quickly as the jet engine increases thrust, but meets increasing resistance from the water until it lifts itself clear of the surface and rides on the planing shoes, accelerating away again.
As the speed increases, so does the distance travelled. At maximun speed, ThrustWSH has covered almost 3 miles as it approaches the “measured mile” over which it will be timed. It will then need another 2 miles to slow down, before turning round and doing it all over again for a two way record.
