A large ex military fuel tank was bought from a reseller of military kit and completely checked over and modified by Advanced Fuel Systems along with the engine team. Modifications included all connections, pipe-work and hoses for feeding the Spey on the test rig. A bunded mount was also provided in case of any leaks. A pair of fuel pumps (plus a spare) from a Tornado fast jet were rebuilt by Eaton Pumps to provide sufficient fuel flow for reheat runs. Advanced Fuel Systems also provided a smaller tank and all connections for Palouste starter unit.
